Hungarian Soldiers Participating in Saturday’s Rescue Receive Commander’s Recognition

Major General Dr. László Sticz, Commander of EUFOR Operation Althea, recently presented commander’s recognition coins in Camp Butmir, near Sarajevo to soldiers and civilian air traffic controllers participating in the early Saturday life-saving rescue operation. In the rescue operation, 14 Hungarian, two Dutch and two Italian soldiers carried out tasks directly, as well as an Austrian civilian. The two Italian soldiers will receive the commander’s recognition later.

Heading a delegation, Colonel Nebojša Svjetlica, Head of the Serbian Ministry of Defence Department for International Military Cooperation visited Hungary at the invitation of Colonel Albert Gróf, Head of the MoD Department for International Cooperation from 21 to 22 March. The goals of the Serbian–Hungarian experts’ meeting were to discuss military-to-military cooperation and to sign the Serbian–Hungarian Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan 2024.
Renewing HDF Search and Rescue Capabilities

NATO expands its defence innovation network in Hungary

NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) has announced that it expands and doubles its presence in Hungary by connecting accelerator sites and test centers for technological development into its research and development network.
