NATO Medal Parade in Kosovo

The tour of duty of the 27th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent is nearing its end in Kosovo. The backbone of the more-than-400-strong contingent has been made up of the Hungarian Defence Forces 1st Armored Brigade, but several other military organizations have contributed troops for the time of the foreign mission. In recognition of their service abroad over the last six months, the soldiers received their NATO medals at an event held in Camp Novo Selo.
Deputy State Secretary’s visit to Allied Joint Force Command Naples

On 1 March László Hajnik, MoD Deputy State Secretary for Defence Policy paid an official visit to the Allied Joint Force Command Naples (JFCNP), where he held closed-door discussions with JFCNP Deputy Commander Lieutenant General Stephen Kelsey and subsequently with NATO Strategic Direction–South Hub (NSD-S Hub) Director Brigadier General Aydin Kilic.
Sniper cross-training in Kosovo

Two sniper squads of the KFOR-27 HUNCON participated in a joint cross-training event with the American forces of Regional Command East (RC-E) Bravo Company.

The HDF KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion recently participated in a Cross Training event. The American, Polish, Latvian, Turkish and Danish troops serving with the mission were also represented at the Hungarian-organized training event.
Peacekeepers from twelve nations receive certifications

Organized by the HDF Peace Support Training Centre, the 6th Peace Support Operations Cooperation Course (PSOCC) has recently ended. The course participants received their certificates on 25 November.
Commander of KFOR visits Camp Novo Selo

Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia, the commander of the KFOR mission recently paid a visit to the HDF KFOR Tactical Reserve Battalion (KTRBN) stationed in Camp Novo Selo. The aim of the COM KFOR’s visit was to obtain a comprehensive picture of the functioning of the Hungarian battalion and the camp.
