We are seeking the newest military equipment for the security of Hungary and the Hungarian people

The development of a 21st-century, cutting-edge military force and the guarantee of Hungary’s security can only be achieved with the most advanced means – stated Defence Minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky in Paris on Monday, 19 June at the 54th International Paris Air Show (Le Bourget).

Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky pointed out that Hungary’s key strategic partners are participating in the event that brings together close to 2500 exhibitors. Through them, we can learn about the technology of the future. Another objective of the exhibition is to facilitate networking with new partners, since Hungary can only be combat ready and professional if it keeps up with technological innovations. He added that the Hungarian government is continuously seeking to gain access to new solutions and the best military equipment in the interest of the security of Hungary and the Hungarian people.

The Minister of Defence attended the exhibitor events of the 54th international air show at the invitation of French Defence Minister Sebastian Lecornu.

The minister said that besides building strong and resolute armed forces, Hungary needs advanced defence assets representing cutting-edge technology like, for example, the Airbus H225M multi-purpose helicopters that are to be delivered in this summer. In addition to procurements, however, the development of the defence industry provides the background which enables the Hungarian Defence Forces to meet the requirements of the 21st century to full extent.
