The brave are going on exercise

More than 1000 troops from four nations are participating in Exercise Brave Warrior 2023. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-week event held on 21 May, Brigadier General Gábor Lőrincz, Commander, HDF Land Component Command welcomed the lined-up troops at Újmajor Base (Camp Croft).

In his welcome speech delivered to Hungarian, Croatian, American and Italian soldiers at the opening ceremony of Exercise Brave Warrior 2023, Brigadier General Gábor Lőrincz said that this is a large-scale multinational exercise, where the participating nations have the opportunity to demonstrate their jointly practiced capabilities, and went on to wish the lined-up troops every success and an accident-free exercise. While addressing the Hungarian personnel, the brigadier general emphasized that he expects the various branches to cohesively and successfully carry out combined-arms tactical missions. He added that next week the exercise would start with a night live fire event.

Lieutenant Colonel Krisztián Éles, Commander, NATO enhanced Vigilance Activity Battle Group (HUN eVA BG) told us that the objective of the multinational exercise is to enable the troops of the four nations to demonstrate the capabilities they have acquired and the level of cohesion they have reached during the last three months.
