Medal parade in Kosovo

Nearing the end of their tour of duty abroad, the soldiers of the 25th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent received their NATO medals in Camp Novo Selo.

The tour of duty of the 25th rotation of the HDF KFOR Contingent (KFOR-25 HUNCON) in Kosovo is drawing to a close. In recognition of their participation in the peacekeeping operation and the completion of their tasks, the Hungarian service members received their NATO medals in a ceremony. This international military medal is awarded to troops for their service in the Balkans Joint Operations Area.

Speaking at the medal parade, the Commander of Kosovo Force (COMKFOR) Major General Ferenc Kajári pointed out that “in accordance with your oath, you have excellently performed your service and accomplished your tasks. As a general of the Hungarian Defence Forces, I have always been proud of the Hungarian troops’ dedication and professionalism. I thank you for having earned further reputation for Hungarian soldiers and the Hungarian Defence Forces.”

On the day following the medal parade, the Hungarian contingent took part in a staff meeting. Contingent Commander Lieutenant Colonel István Varga thanked the soldiers for their dedicated work and presented awards to them.
