Egypt is our important friend and ally

In connection with the meeting, the Minister of Defence wrote on his social media page that “besides the economic and energy cooperation, Egypt is our important strategic partner in the field of security, since it plays a key role in stopping illegal migration processes and acts as a bulwark for the whole of Europe.”

Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky pointed out that besides the continuation of the decades-long, close and active professional military-to-military relations, the topics of discussions conducted with the Egyptian ambassador also included the possibilities for defence industry cooperation between the two countries.
