One of the valuable forms of outstanding co-operation between the two nations is the regional military formation, located in Székesfehervár, established for common defence purposes. The basic idea of foundation of Headquarters Multinational Division – Centre was offered to NATO by Croatia and Hungary in 2018.

The military organization, soon is going to be activated and become part of the Alliance's Force Structure, will link the nations' common defence efforts for the present and beyond, creating another force element of regional command and control for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
