Co-president of German–Hungarian logistic program receives partnership medal of merit

Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi PhD, Chief of the HDF General Staff awarded a partnership medal of merit to Brigadier General Robert Wilhelm for his outstanding work done during the German–Hungarian cooperation.

Brigadier General Robert Wilhelm, Deputy Commander, Logistics Command Bundeswehr was co-president of the German–Hungarian Structured Logistic Partnership Program between 2019 and 2023. The main objective of this period was to generate the tactical-level logistic capabilities meeting the criteria of the NATO Capability Codes & Capability Statements. Of the German–Hungarian joint capabilities, the Bulk Fuel Installation reached full operational capability (FOC) in 2022, whereas the Medium Transportation Company has had initial operational capability (IOC) since 2021.

Brigadier General Wilhelm will continue his career as commander of the German Air Force Support Organizations (Kommandeur Unterstützungsverbände Luftwaffe), and he handed over his responsibilities to Brigadier General Ralf Lungershausen, at a ceremony held in the Conference Centre of the Logistics Command Bundeswehr in Erfurt.

During the handover-takeover ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Mihály Antal, Senior Liaison Officer of the Logistics Command Bundeswehr presented the general with the decoration.
