Major General Libor Jílek took over the office of military attaché in April, but his accreditation in Hungary has been completed only by now.

During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current military diplomatic processes and tasks, and reaffirmed their priorities for future bilateral co-operation and ongoing consultations in potential areas for the enlargement of military relations.

In order to strengthen its military diplomacy, Hungary reopened its military attaché office in Prague in August 2017. The Czech Republic considers the Hungarian military diplomatic presence in Prague also as an important factor of bilateral military relations, cooperation in military industry and in the Visegrad Group.
