Chief Warrant Officer Zoltán Kaszab

CSM Kaszab commenced his military service as a conscript soldier from 1991-1992. Following his 12 month obligatory service he enlisted at the 34. Bercsényi Miklós Long Range Reconnaissance Battalion at Szolnok, Hungary (later was renamed as 34. Bercsényi László LRRB).

Upon enlistment he was assigned at the Long Range Reconnaissance (LRRS) communication training company as instructor until 1995.

Following his instructor assignment CSM Kaszab was appointed LRRS team deputy team leader, later team leader.

Between 2004-2006 he was assigned as a Company 1st.SGT at the LRRS company where he served earlier.

Following the structural changes that formed his LRRS Battalion into a Special Forces Battalion CSM Kaszab was appointed as battalion Sergeant Major, and later Regimental Sergeant Major from 2007-2015.

Upon the establishment of the Hungarian Defence Forces Command CSM Kaszab was promoted to CSM of the Joint Special Operations Command.

CSM Kaszab recently is serving as the Command Sergeant Major of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

OPS seminar for Exercise Alligator Sword 2021

NATO Defence Ministers Meet in Brussels

The defence ministers of the NATO member states met on 21-22 October in Brussels. At the meeting, the ministers touched on topics such as the Alliance's deterrence and defence posture, and the situation in Afghanistan and Iraq. At a seminar prior to the NATO meetings, European Union defence ministers discussed the "Strategic Compass" process, which will determine the future of European defence. There was also a ministerial meeting of the member states of the German-led Framework Nation Concept.
